The VLW series is weight-optimized sheeting that replaces a large part of lead with antimony.
VLW - Blend of Antimony and Lead Our composite shielding is a mixture of lead and Antimony, a lighter weight metal. Our lead-based composite blend is a proprietary mixture that attenuates radiation at the same levels as lead, but is lighter (up to 20%) compared to a 100% lead product. Sheets are available with the same lead equivalency protection levels.
Lead vinyl is available in a variety of thicknesses and can be layered to achieve the desired lead equivalence and safety standards
